About the Organization: The Greater Cleveland Food Bank Community Resource Center's Healthy Choice Food Market allows neighbors to select their own food instead of receiving a prepacked or standard bag of groceries. With this method, neighbors do not have to take items they already have, do not like or cannot eat for health or personal reasons.
Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers will assist neighbors with shopping and loading their vehicles with food as needed; accept retail product donations, weighing product and recording the donation; organize and consolidate product onto pallets and into bins to make it look presentable for neighbors, consolidate spoiled or damaged items for removal from the market; remove excess cardboard, bins and boxes; sweep and mop as needed; and perform other duties as assigned.
