About the Organization: United Way of Portage County helps fund partner agencies and runs their own programs in the areas of health, education and financial stability. One of the United Way programs is to create literacy kits to accompany a selected book to be distributed to approximately 1,000 kindergarten students.
Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers will create and assemble literacy kits for the United Way. Duties include coloring, laminating, cutting out items from laminated sheets and assembling all parts of the kit into individual bags.
