    Event Information:

    • Hosted by: Design Innovation Initiative
    • Age Restriction: 18+
    • About the Organization: This free community event is open to anyone looking to fix household items, electronics, clothing, small appliances and more. Whether you're tackling a wobbly chair, a torn jacket or a gadget that’s stopped working, our volunteer repair experts will guide you through the process. Fixing together builds community—join us and be part of the solution! Fix-It Kent is hosted by the KSU Design Innovation (DI) Initiative in partnership with Fix-It CLE, a program from Circular Cleveland, an initiative of Cleveland Neighborhood Progress and the City of Cleveland, in collaboration with Neighborhood Connections.
    • Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers will share their expertise in topics [such as/including (but not limited to)] electronics, woodworking, mending and sewing, as well as folks with general hand and power tool knowledge. This event is designed to empower attendees to repair their own broken or damaged items with the guidance of knowledgeable volunteers like you. Whether you specialize in a particular area or simply enjoy fixing things and tinkering, your support can make a difference. Volunteers will work one-on-one with participants to share advice, coach them through the repair process and help them build confidence in their skills. Good communication and a willingness to teach are key, as this is a hands-on learning experience. If you're interested in volunteering, or know someone who would be a great fit, we’d love for you to join us!
