About the Organization: This service project supports food insecurity relief through a Virtual Food Drive hosted by the Kent State University Undergraduate Student Government (USG) in partnership with the Kent State East Liverpool (KSUEL) Campus. The project benefits individuals and families in East Liverpool and the surrounding community by collecting food donations. The initiative aligns with Flashes Give Back Week’s mission by providing alumni, students and community members with an accessible way to give back—virtually or remotely—while addressing a critical community need.
Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers will contribute canned and nonperishable food and personal care items. They are also encouraged to participate in virtual activities throughout Flashes Give Back Week (April 13–18, 2026). Tasks include promoting the Virtual Food Drive through personal networks and social media, encouraging others to donate food items and participating in a virtual kick-off meeting. This project allows participants to contribute meaningfully regardless of location or schedule, making it especially accessible for working alumni and virtual volunteers.
