    • About the Organization: Kentway Senior Independent Living helps provide quality affordable housing for seniors 55 and older. Originally built in 1970, Kentway was established when 23 sponsors banded together to fund the creation of Kentway in the hopes that having an apartment complex solely dedicated to those 55 and up would help alleviate some of the loneliness for seniors and give them a stronger sense of community. Today, that sense of community continues to live on. Kentway is equipped with a number of on-site amenities.
    • Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers will join the College of Public Health and the Kent City Health Department for a fun and friendly Bingo Party at Kentway Senior Independent Living. Volunteer roles include helping set up and clean up the bingo space; greeting residents and assisting them to their seats; distributing bingo cards, chips and prizes; calling bingo numbers or helping check winning cards; providing one-on-one assistance to residents during gameplay and socializing with residents to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
