About the Organization: Pawsitive Friendships supports individuals with special needs by using the special bond of pets to help them reach their full potential.
Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers will bring pasta, rice or dried beans (garbanzo or pinto) to the service project. During the event, stations will be set up for dyeing rice, pasta and beans to create vibrant, themed filler materials. Volunteers will mix the fillers into kits based on specific themes to create sensory bins, which provide hands-on sensory experiences that support developmental goals for the children in a fun and interactive way. To make the day even more special, a few of the organization?s furry friends will also attend!
