    • About the Organization: Spanning over 3,600 acres, the Holden Arboretum is a nature lover’s dream. With gardens, trails, lakes and meadows, there is always something new to explore. The Kalberer Emergent Tower and Murch Canopy Walk offer immersive experiences and unique perspectives of the tree canopy and surrounding areas. Holden Forests and Gardens uses minimal chemical treatments in our display gardens. Our gardens showcase our collection of plants that can grow in Northeast Ohio and allow visitors to see the variety of plants that they may want to grow themselves. Well maintained gardens allow the plants we want to feature to really show.
    • Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers will work with horticulturists on weeding, raking, removing plant debris and cutting back early spring flowers. Tools and instructions are provided. Volunteers should be comfortable kneeling, bending, pulling and lifting up to 20 lbs.
