“Quilts and Coverlets" Opening Reception and Concert

    In commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary, join us for the opening of “Quilts & Coverlets: American Art for the Home,” featuring a rare display of the renowned Keckley quilt attributed to Elizabeth Keckley, personal dressmaker to First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln. The evening will also celebrate a student-curated exhibition “Chintz: The Heart of Luxury Interiors” and include a reception, exhibition viewing, welcome remarks and a concert featuring American repertoire performed by Kent State students.

    • 5-5:30 p.m. — Reception in Rockwell Hall Atrium
    • 5:30-6:30 p.m. — Welcome remarks and concert in Broadbent Gallery
    • 6:30-7 p.m. – Exhibition viewing in Broadbent Gallery and Learning Lab
